David Evans
David is an experienced executive coach who believes love is good for business - love for the mission, love for the work and love for other team members. It is the fuel that drives high performing teams to successful, aligned action.

After founding and participating at the C-level in multiple tech companies, David transitioned into designing and delivering leadership and team development programs, including teaching meditation in corporate America. For over a decade, David has been co-creating intentional change from startups to tech giants such as EBAY, Adobe, and Cisco. David’s ability to foster connection and effectiveness doesn’t just create high performing teams, it inspires happier and more fulfilled individuals.

When David is not coaching, he is usually at home with his two young sons, ninja playfighting, or making space for his lifelong mindfulness practice.  It’s important to him that they grow up in a world where men can be vulnerable and express a full range of emotions.

Farhana Huq
Farhana is an executive coach, trusted thought partner, and creator of Surf Life Executive Coaching.  She specializes in coaching game changing leaders and their teams towards a business and life they love.

Farhana is most passionate about helping people take their leaps and surf their waves in leadership and life. She has taken many leaps in her own life from being a member of the U.S. National Karate team in her youth, to founding 2 non-profits dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in her community.

Through her coaching work with male clients, she was struck by the lack of permission, safe space and community for men to be with and express their emotions outside of their 1:1 coaching and how that impacted their ability to reach their fullest potential.  She reached out to friend and colleague, David Evans, who was also working on ideas to connect and better support men. After some discussions, they decided that together they would create the space they felt was missing.

In addition to her commitment to supporting leaders, Farhana loves to dance, and is trained in the North Indian classical and Tahitian traditions.  She resides in Oakland, CA and enjoys surfing all types of waves on California’s Northern coast.
